The Pool
The pool is an ideal place to enjoy your vacation and soak up the suns rays. There are a few rules we ask you to follow. The pool can be dangerous for children, especially those that are not able to swim as yet. Any children in the pool must always be supervised by an adult. If your child is not a strong swimmer we suggest purchasing some floatation device for assisting your child in the water. Children also like to run and play around the pool and this can be quite hazardous. Therefore, no running or jumping around the pool is allowed. The pool is also an ideal place to enjoy a cocktail, however ABSOLUTELY NO GLASSES ARE ALLOWED IN OR AROUND THE POOL.
When leaving the pool the house tiles can be quite slippery when wet. Take care when coming in from the pool.
Cleaning: The property manager will coordinate all cleaning activities with you.
Cooling: Barbados is a Tropical Island blessed with easterly trade winds. In your villa you can take advantage of this by having the doors and windows open while you are in. Do remember to latch the doors when open, as the wind can be quite strong at times and will blow them in.
There are air-conditioning units provided in each bedroom and living area for your comfort. When using the units please do not set the temperature below 20 degrees C. In addition, when the unit is on please ensure that the windows and doors in the room are closed, as the air conditioning will not work properly if they are open.
Please help save the planet and keep our costs down. Don't forget when leaving the property to turn the A/C units off.
Electricity: There are electrical points located throughout the villa. On certain outlets you will have to press the red button to turn them on. Electricity in Barbados is 110V. Its supply is very reliable and rarely will the power go out.
Garbage: Place your garbage in the large bins provided outside of the security gates to the property.
Hot water: IT IS REALLY HOT! The hot water provided is via an environmentally friendly solar water heater. The water is heated naturally through the day's sun and stored in a tank. Because of this the water can be quite hot at times, when taking a shower test the water for the right temperature before going under.
Laundry: During your stay you may wish to do some laundry, there is a washer/dryer provided for your convenience.
Toilets: The toilets onsite can handle most things; however, we ask that you do not dispose of sanitary napkins, baby nappies, and large paper towels in the toilet. These items will clog the drains and we ask that you dispose of them in bins provided.

At the end of the sugar season, there was always a huge celebration to mark the culmination of another successful sugar cane harvest - the Crop Over celebration.
2. The Barbados Jazz Festival, which celebrates the best in international and local jazz talent, has become a major annual Caribbean event.
